Velocity Micro Notemagix M10 Gx 10.2-Inch Netbook (1.6 GHz Intel Atom N270 Processor, 1 GB RAM, 160 GB Hard Drive, XP Home, 6 Cell Battery) Burgundy
Customer Rating (2.5/5)
First, I think everybody is a little criticism of this machine. Recently, I took her to a dealer in Dallas for less than two Benjamins, so maybe if some of these people have to show at this price, are a different tune. But I do. First, the security flaws.
Cons:
1. Yes, this keyboard is terrible. 1 / 3 the right key dimension of change is definitely the deal breaker for some, I know this is personal, how do I make money, and it is almost impossible in this unitwithout training does not even take key 'end' instead. It is also subtle and economical general feeling, had not thought much, but it works in short, the data entry. I do not want to get something for so long to write.
2. There are empty false card reader for media. Better to keep the dust and falls to a minimum, it is certainly exposed.
3. There is no LCD latch. Say goodbye to secure the lid, and I hope that God will begin to get tentsfree.
4. If a ship / w OpenOffice. I do not think it is bloatware, and I like open source, but that amount can not replace the good old Office. EVER. That would be for installation from a CD or something else.
5. Battery life is not what is meant. In my tests, I was up to 4 hours and some changes because of exploitation, but with Wi-Fi OFF, no ethernet, no multimedia, multitasking minimum, and let him go into standby mode when I click on the toilet or go todistracted by something else. You will never be 6 hours after the battery. You should just clean on it. Maybe I really need full charge / discharge several times, but I think that what people say about them is true. Collects up to three hours, (only for three hours or so)? That's pretty lame.
6. Speed. Why is it cheating? Because who knows? None. Will honor the warranty? Who knows. Battery fire of hell? Couldhappened. It will crack and break something in half less than a month? Option. I do not know what to expect in the future of this structure.
7. As expected, the BIOS options are virtually nil. "This was expected, but still disappointing. If you will be able to change the date and time, you will be in heaven. Everything else … well … .. nope.
8. Documentation provided is a joke. In addition to the fundamentals of teaching, such as the touchpad is that even sayuseful things, like what works and how the Fn key on your laptop and off. That's about it.
9. Speakers. The maximum volume is a flat box. I did not expect, they are fantastic, but no more than glorified spikes embedded on the case.
Pro
1. It comes with bloatware-ZERO! Thank God, no charge for an hour or two studies for the removal of poor software that you never wanted.
2. And 'fast, like all the others out. Without bloatwareslowly, and the settings for best performance '/ w visual effects (the main theme of the course), which is an elegant little machine, works well with spreadsheets, Web pages, Hamachi, VPN, Outlook, antivirus and other things . I'm always more excited to be modest, these specifications can produce surprisingly fast.
3. Stable Wireless. Many netbook is plagued by a little 'quirky WiFi, this device is solid, raised access points more than the rest of the computer can and shouldmore bars in more places (where did you get it?)
4. Is not so strong and bulky as it looks here in the photo marketing. When I came out ot look at this, I was really confident, sub-notebook, the kind and more uncomfortable than most other netbooks. At the OS for some reason, most of the photos, it seemed that the 30-40% higher than. It 'very light and very small.
5. VGA port! Some Netbook leave this out. Give me a break. You need this, anddoes.
6. I think it is wise, but some people find it annoying. To save battery life, notebook, after rebooting, always include WIFI OFF. In this way, when you need it, so it was sucking the juice. And 'natural to confuse me the first time I rebooted and my wireless does not work.
7. Including the case. Someone could, it is kitsch, but I think it's a good way of being. They know that the goods are fragile and must be treatedas a toy. Price that the total number down, as is the case, but it is cheap a good marketing strategy, if you ask me. Well, if it contains the mouse too little, I felt. It may be cheap, but it looks good and offers good protection against scratches and abrasions.
In connection:
1. Webcam. E 'was looonnnggg time, because in reality a used. I think I was first a Logitech QuickCam, you know, either. ThisMuch better, at least in terms of static images. There are many shadows in motion.
Overall, on the basis of value, this netbook is incredible. Has some peculiarities, but I can not ignore and maybe you can too. I hope this helps.
